Daniel SchellenbergL.L.B - BarristerDaniel has a strong sense of justice and is dedicated to achieving the best outcomes for his clients.
In 2009 Daniel completed his law degree at Otago University and was admitted to the bar in 2010. He has practiced exclusively as a criminal defence lawyer since then. Daniel started his legal career working at the Public Defence Service as a criminal defence lawyer. In 2012 Daniel joined Vulcan Chambers as a barrister where he was based until 2018. Daniel set up his own Chambers in 2019 in the Southern Cross Building at 59 High Street, Central Auckland where he is currently based. Daniel has gained a wealth of experience conducting jury trials and appellate work throughout his career. He is well known for his advocacy skills and determination. Outside of work, Daniel enjoys going to the gym, yoga and travelling. |
Matthew SmallBCJ, LL.B - BarristerMatthew graduated from the University of Canterbury in 2021 with a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Criminal Justice. During his time in Canterbury, he was a law clerk for a boutique general practice law firm, intern for the Police Prosecution Service, volunteer caseworker for a community law centre and the President of the Criminal Justice Society.
In 2022, Matthew relocated to Auckland to join Daniel and the team. Outside of work, Matthew is a keen hockey player and golfer whilst also dabbling in social basketball. |
Jacob PritchardBMus(Hons), LLB - BarristerIn 2024, Jacob graduated from Victoria University of Wellington with a Bachelor of Laws before going on to work on international law matters at the United Nations.
Jacob joined Daniel and the team in 2025. Outside of work, Jacob is a musician and has a strong interest in water based sports. |
Najla RedzepagicLL.B(Hons), BA - BarristerNajla graduated from the University of Auckland in 2023 with a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts majoring in psychology and criminology. Najla began practicing as a Barrister and Solicitor in the same year and previously clerked at a boutique criminal law firm in Auckland.
In 2024, Najla joined Daniel and the team in Central Auckland. Najla understands that involvement with the criminal justice system can be a complex and daunting process. She aims to make the process accessible for all involved, whilst also trying to obtain the best results for her clients. Outside of work, Najla is an avid reader and enjoys travelling. |
